The MSI Wind U210 is a 12.1 inch laptop with a 1.6GHz AMD Neo processor, ATI Radeon X1250 graphics, and HDMI output. It packs a bit more power than your typical netbook, but doesn’t cost much more. It’s now available in the US from Amazon for as little as $429.99 (For some reason Amazon charges $40 more for the white version, although Newegg has the laptop in both black and white for the same price).
The Wind U210 has a 6 cell, 5200mAh battery which MSI claims is good for up to 5 hours of use, but I’ll believe that when I see it. The AMD Neo processor may pack a bit more punch than the Intel Atom CPU found in most netbooks, but it also uses more power and the first AMD Neo-equipped laptop to hit the streets wasn’t exactly known for its stellar battery life.

Love this notebook! I love the price on this thing too. I’m surprised that MSI’s Think Outside the Box contest was not as popular as it should have been. But MSI is having another contest. I think they’re giving away U210’s younger cousin though, a U100. It’s a pretty cute idea with the stockings and the numbers. Check out their website, msimobile.com. I think they’re giving a total of 6 netbooks away. Pink netbooks! 🙂
