Intel is getting ready to launch new Atom N455 and N475 processors that are compatible with DDR3 RAM — but otherwise pretty much the same as the N450 and N470 processors you can pick up today. And it looks like MSI plans to launch one of the first netbooks to utilize the new chips.

Johannes at NewGadgets.de got a chance to check out a new MSI Wind U160DX netbook at a pre-computex press event today. For the most part, the mini-laptop looks just like the Wind U160 that was released a few months ago. But the new model sports a shiny new 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor and support for DDR3 memory. MSI also says it can get up to 15 hours of battery life.

No word on when the MSI Wind U160DX will be available or how much it will cost.
