If there’s one thing I can tell you about any new gadget, it’s this: Give it enough time and someone will get around to dissecting it, taking some photographs, and splaying them across the internet. I’m fully expecting photos of the Apple iPad motherboard to hit the web a few minutes after the tablet is available in stores. While we’re waiting for that, you can check out some shots of rht eMSI Wind U160 netbook with its top off, courtesy of Netbook News.it.

The MSI Wind U160 has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. The computer comes with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth and a 65Whr battery.

There are about a dozen screws at the base of the netbook. Once those are out, you need to pop out the keyboard to access the computer’s internal components including the hard drive and WiFi module. Of course, if you just want to perform a simple RAM upgrade, all you need to do is remove a single screw holding the memory access panel in place.
