msi-wind-u100-plusThe MSI Wind U100 Plus looks almost exactly like the MSI Wind U100, the first netbook from MSI. But the updated model, which was first spotted at CeBIT and officially unveiled today, sports a faster 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU and up to 7 hours of battery life. It’s not entirely clear from the press release whether that 7 hour figure comes with the standard 3 cell or extended 6 cell battery — but my money is on the latter.

The rest of the specs are pretty standard netbook fare: 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, integrated flash card reader, 1.3MP webcam, and Bluetooth 2.1.

  1. Surprisingly, this model was being sold in Malaysia since last month despite the launch just yesterday.

My question is this, the 6 cell gives how many hours with wifi on?

Does the N280 use lesser power than the N270?
