Motorola may be preparing new versions of its Moto G and Moto E smartphones. GSM Arena spotted retail listings for new models called the Moto G Titan and Moto E Styx.

For the most part the new phones look like the 2014 editions of each device… but with the addition of support for 4G LTE networks.

The Moto G Titan features a 5 inch HD display, a quad-core processor, an 8MP camera, and 8GB of storage plus a microSD card slot.

The lower-cost Moto E Styx has a dual-core processor, a 4.3 inch, 960 x 540 pixel display, 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot

Both phones are expected to ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop, which isn’t surprising as Motorola is starting to roll out the latest version of Android to the 3G versions of these phones.

There’s no word on when the Moto G Titan or Moto E Styx will be available in the United States or how much they’ll cost if and when they hit the US. It’s also unclear if Motorola plans to offer models with more than 8GB of storage. There was a 16GB version of the 2013 Moto G, but so far the 2014 model only comes with 8GB of built-in storage.

  1. i hope that the Moto g titan wont have those speakers poping out of the screen, I hate that look so i’m still on the Moto g original

  2. With phones like the new Asus Zenfone 2 LTE with it’s 5.5″ 1080p screen, 2 gb of Ram, 8 or 9 cores, 13 mp camera (which gets great reviews) and 5 mp front camera starting price of $200 as well as the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 LTE 6.1″ phablet, which can now be had for under $250 And the OnePlus One, Motorola better not play with the price of the Moto G LTE variant too much, like they did with the first gen which was too expensive compared to the 3G version.

  3. Well I always said that moto g was the best budget smartphone for $200 but it looks like asus Zenfone 2 will kill it in terms of specs and price. $200 and higher specs than oneplus one!

    1. The Asus Zenfone 2 looks killer for sure. I’m drooling looking at the spec sheet.

      1. It’s the OnePlus One killer… great specs and no invite and starting at $100 less. The Moto G LTE can’t even compete at $200 or more. What a difference a year makes.

        1. the $200 is for the 1080P version the 720P version could be even cheaper if that is the case i am definitely getting one to tide me over until Project ARA hits the market it is nice to finally have a dual-sim phone that can do both ATT and Tmobile LTE with a large screen without costing a fortune…for phones i care more for connectivity than specs…if it could boot multiple OS then it’d be my dream phone

    2. One problem for me is 5.5 inches is getting into phablet territory. 5 inches is already a bit on the large side.

    3. If they kep the price of the Moto G LTE the same as the 3G version is will do good, if they raise the price, which is much more likely, I’m not so sure. I’m with you, for $200 then Zenfone 2 blows the Moto G and OnePlus One away as the best value in smartphones.. by a mile.

  4. Hey, Motorola is FINALLY getting it right! It only took them several tries to put together a mainstream and inexpensive phone worth buying in the year 2015. Now watch the SD card be limited to only 32GB or less.

  5. I want the original 2013 Moto X form factor back with premium specs (and nanoSIM so I can flip between iphone).

    1. I’ve had my eye on the ZTE Nubia 5S mini for my wife. It’s not a premium phone, but it’s a pretty slick, inexpensive unlocked 4.7 inch phone with Moto G-like specs.

But I have more confidence that Motorola will offer regular software updates than ZTE. If there was a 16GB version of the 2014 Moto G I probably would have bought it by now.

    2. You can still by the first generation Moto X for $200 or less new. It’s specs are more than enough for anything you can through at it.

    3. Why don’t you just get a nano to microSIM adapter so you can switch between the two? I use it with my Note and iPhone; it works like a charm!

      1. I did that once with a prior phone and either I had purchased a bad tray or did something silly something got caught on a contact and the phone was left unable to read any SIMs. :/ So I’m a little gunshy I suppose.

  6. These are great phones. Hope to see them in the US. 16GB option on the G would be great.
