The Mintbox Mini Pro is a tiny desktop computer with a fanless design for silent operation, a low-power AMD processor, 8GB of RAM, 120GB of solid state storage, and Linux Mint 18 software pre-installed.

It measures about 4.3″ x 3.3″ x 0,9″ and has a metal case made from zinc and aluminum.

First introduced in September, the MintBox Mini Pro is now available for purchase for $395.

The system is powered by a 4.5 watt AMD A10 Micro-6700T quad-core processor with Radeon R6 graphics and features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, two HDMI ports,  two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a microSD card slot, S/PDIF, and mic and headphone jacks.

It also supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

While you could certainly build your own Linux computer for less than $500, the MintBox Mini Pro is compact, quiet, and designed by PC builder CompuLab in partnership with the developers of the popular Linux Mint operating system.

The computer also comes with a 5-year warranty.
