NVIDIA’s working on a tablet with a Tegra K1 processor. It’ll probably run Android and let you play Android games or stream PC games over the internet from your computer, letting you play desktop-class games on the couch or on the bus.

We’ve known all of that for a while, even though NVIDIA hasn’t had much to say on the topic. Now the BBC has a new report that’s interesting not so much for new details (like the idea that NVIDIA will offer an add-on game controller) but for its analysis (the upcoming tablet might not be expected to sell well… it might be more of a showcase that NVIDIA can use to convince other companies to use its Tegra K1 in chip their products).

  1. I’d sooner believe that Dell simply didn’t anticipate the demand than some junk about saving them for education.
If you have a product that is popular the thing to do really is SELL IT.
    Make more and sell them.

    1. There are many strange things going on in the computer market that make you scratch your head. How can Microsoft legally give away Windows based on screen size and charge others for it? Why are Chromebook inventories kept low artificially? Why does Samsung play the half-hearted Tizen game? Why does Nvidia do so much to keep the Android world in turmoil with undelivered false promises?
