April 29th is apparently a good day to launch new products. Acer’s holding an event in New York to reveal it’s new lineup of tablets, notebooks, and more. Samsung is revealing its new smartphone with a built-in zoom lens. And it looks like Apple may be refreshing some of its laptops.
But why wait for official announcements when the internet is full of leaks?

- Leak: More Acer Aspire Switch SW5 3-in-1 tablet photos
It’s likely that one of the devices Acer will launch on the 29th is a multi-mode tablet called the Aspire Switch. It’s a tablet with a keyboard that lets you use the system in laptop or presentation mode. We’ve been reading about it for weeks, and now some additional photos have surfaced. Acer, like just about every other major consumer electronics company, is keeping an eye on the wearable space. Maybe we’ll see the company take its first steps into that territory this week… with a device that tracks your steps? Recent reports have indicated that Chinese smartphone startup OnePlus isn’t so much a startup as a subsidiary of Oppo… but the company’s response is that it’s actually a standalone company. While this would hardly be the first smartphone with a front-facing camera with a relatively high pixel count, the feature would make it stand out from other devices running Microsoft’s mobile operating system.
