The LG T280 is a thin and light notebook with an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display ant Intel CULV low power processor. We first heard about this model a few days ago when it popped up in Korea. Now it looks like the T280 could be headed for US shores as well. Wireless Goodness noticed an FCC listing for the laptop, which is usually a precursor to bringing any device with wireless capabilities to market in the States.
The FCC documents include a user manual, which describes a laptop with either an Intel Pentium or Core o Duo processor, 1 to 2GB of RAM, and a 2.5 inch hard drive. It has Bluetooth 2.1, a 1.3MP webcam, WiFi, and optional 3G HSPA mobile broadband.
There are access panels on the base of the laptop for easy RAM and WLAN upgrades, although it looks like you’ll have to take the PC apart if you want to access the hard drive compartment. You can see some internal photos at the FCC (PDF link).
The laptop will apparently have several different names in different regions, including the LG T28, TD280, and TB280.
The lid also seems to have an interesting texture which looks more like the sort of thing you’d see on a slip cover than a netbook case. It does look like it would be more fingerprint resistant than the glossy lids that are so popular with most PC makers these days.
