LG Electronics has been selling mini-laptops in Europe for a few months now, some of which have been bundled with mobile broadband plans from European telecommunications companies. Now it looks like LG is looking to try its luck in the US. The Korean company is better known in the states for making consumer electronics devices like televisions than laptop computers. But the LG X110 netbook which LG is hoping to sell in the US has received decent reviews overseas. The company is also expected to bring its new LG X120 netbook to the US.
According to Forbes, the X110 could be available in the US before July. It’ll cost about $400, or less if you purchase one with a wireless service plan from a telecom. the LG X110 and X120 include built in 3G modems. It’s not yet clear which, if any US mobile providers will carry the LG netbooks.
What is the LG Netbook 110 likely to cost in the USA without a service plan to be use on a pre-paid system? Could it be used anywhere in the world by inserting a local sim card from wherever one travels?
I dont think the price is as stated!
