Take the LG G2 smartphone, give it a larger display, a slightly slower CPU, and move the power and volume buttons from the back of the phone to the sides and what do you get? Apparently you get the LG Gx, a new 5.5 inch Android phone from the South Korean electronics company.

LG Gx

The LG Gx features a 5.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It does not have a microSD card slot.

LG’s new phone has a 3140mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC, a 13MP rear camera and 1.3MP front-facing camera, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software with a few of LG’s custom features — for instance you can use it with a special flip-case that has a window cut out, letting you use a few functions without opening the lid. It supports HSPA and LTE networks.

There’s no word on if or when the LG Gx will be available in the US or Europe.
