The Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad 2022 is a tablet with a 10.6 inch, 2000 x 1200 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, and support for up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Announced recently for the Chinese market, the tablet ships with Android 12 software, and I suspect that if and when this tablet makes it way to the United States, it’ll be called the Lenovo Tab P12.
That’s because the new tablet appears to be an update to last year’s Xiaoxin Pad 2021, which was the Chinese version of a tablet that Lenovo sells in the US as the Lenovo Tab P11.
The older model has a Snapdragon 662 processor and an 11 inch display, and ships with Android 10 software. So this year’s model should be faster, run a newer version of Google’s mobile operating system, and be a little smaller.
Other specs appear to be pretty similar for both models. Like the 2021 model, the new tablet has a 7,700 mAh battery and comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. It has quad speakers and an 8MP fixed-focus front-facing camera.
The Xiaoxin Pad 2022 supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity and has a USB Type-C port. The tablet measures 251.2 x 158 x 7.45mm (9.9″ x 6.2″ x 0.3″) and weighs 465 grams (1 pounds).
Pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet.
