Last January Lenovo showed off a series of intriguing devices at CES including a tablet/notebook hybrid called the IdeaPad U1 and a smartbook called the Skylight. Over the past 12 months, the Skylight appears to have been killed off, as has the custom Linux-based operating system it ran. But it looks like a version of the IdeaPad U1 could still make it to market — as could a standalone tablet based on the removable tablet portion of that computer.

Now PC World is reporting that Lenovo is set to show off two consumer tablet sat CES this week. It’s not clear if or when either product will be available for purchase int he US. The last I’d heard, the first tablet, which will likely be called the Lenovo LePad, will ship first in China.

There’s aren’t any new details about Lenovo’s tablets yet, but the LePad is expected to run Google’s Android operating system. I wouldn’t be surprised if the company is also working on a Windows slate, but that’s just a guess.
