Lenovo hasn’t made any official announcements about a new ThinkPad model with a 12.5 inch display, but an Engadget tipster found a spec sheet at Lenovo’s web site for a ThinkPad X220 with what appears to be Lenovo’s new favorite screen size.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 will have a 1366 x 768 pixel LED backlit display, with an optional IPS screen for wide viewing angles. The laptop will be available with a Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processor and supports up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. It weighs less than 3 pounds and features an Express Card slot, SD card reader, VGA port, 3 USB port,s and a Display Port.
Lenovo is also claiming that the X220 will be able to get up to 15 hours of run time with a 9 cell battery, or 23 hours if you get an external battery pack.
There’s no word on the price or release date yet.
Should have been compared to the MacBookPro NOT MackBookAir. like comparing apples to… forget the pun. but the x220 is a MBP SB supposed “killer”, though i cant figure out why the mbp gets better graphics from the same hardware GMA, is that the OSx and openCL ?
