Lenovo has been offering a line of “tiny” desktop computers aimed at business customers for a few years. Up until recently these systems have shipped with Windows, but in June Lenovo will launch the first model to run Chrome OS.
The Lenovo ThinkCentre Chromebox Tiny launches this summer for $199 and up.
The compact desktop computer that measures 7.2″ x 7″ x 1.4″ and weighs about 2.2 pounds. It has four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output, DisplayPort, Ethernet, and audio jacks and it will probably be available with an Intel processor, much like Lenovo’s Windows models, but the Chrome OS model will probably have a small solid state drive rather than a large hard drive.
The system will also be available as a Lenovo Tiny-in-One system, which combines the mini-desktop with a 23 inch monitor to create an all-in-one desktop computer. Want to replace the Chromebox in the future while keeping the display? Just slide out the ThinkCentre Tiny and pop in a new one.
Lenovo’s  ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One is already available for $279. Already have a monitor? Lenovo also offers a $30 mounting bracket for connecting its tiny desktops to the back of a monitor stand.
