Lenovo recently launched the Yoga 900 convertible notebook with a premium design, a 13 inch high-resolution display, an Intel Skylake processor, and a starting price of $1200. But if that’s too much money for you, Lenovo also has a cheaper option.

The company’s new Yoga 700 line of laptops have Skylake processors, convertible designs that let you hold them like tablets, and prices that start as low as $600.

Lenovo offers the Yoga 700 in two sizes. There’s a model with an 11.6 inch display that measures 0.6 inches thick and weighs 2.4 pounds and a 14 inch model that weighs 3.5 pounds and measures 0.7 inches thick.

Both features 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS touchscreen displays and at least 4GB of RAM and 128GB of solid state storage. The laptops have backlit keyboards and the 14 inch model is available with up to 256GB of storage.

Best Buy seems to be the exclusive retailer for the 11.6 inch model at launch. The company is  selling a version with an Intel Core m3-6Y30 dual-core processor for $600 and a Core m5-6Y54 dual-core version for $700.

You can also get a 14 inch Yoga 700 from Best buy for $900. That version has 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a Core i5-6200U Skylake processor. Lenovo charges $100 more for the same hardware if you buy the Yoga 700 from Lenovo.com.

  1. The title says ‘from $749’ the body says ‘from $599.’

Hey Brad! I like your site. Do you know of friendly online forum or user community of like minded people (for people who love Liliputing) where I am supposed to ask ‘which laptop should I buy?’ and can expect the expert answer?

        1. Brad,

I am not asking you personally, but who knows: maybe you are aware of another friendly online community with a similar profile where I might have best luck with asking such questions from the community as a whole.
