Lenovo’s latest Flex series laptops are now available for purchase. The company introduced Flex 3 laptops with 11, 14, and 15 inch displays at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, and now they’re available from Lenovo.com for $399 and up.

Previously, Lenovo had used the Flex name to describe a line of touchscreen notebooks with 270 degree hinges that allowed you to fold the computer so the keyboard becomes a kickstand and props up the display for use in kiosk mode. But the Flex 3 family has a new 360 degree hinge: you can fold the display all the way back until these notebooks become tablets.

The smallest, most affordable model is the Flex 3 11 with an Intel Celeron N2840 Bay Trail processor, and an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display. The notebook measures about 0.9 inches thick and weighs about 3 pounds.

At the moment you can pick up a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for $399… which is actually $20 less than the price of a 2GB/32GB model. But that’s a sale price that probably won’t last.

There’s also an 11.6 inch model with a Celeron N2940 processor and a 500GB hard drive which is on sale this week for $409.

Larger models with more powerful specs include the Lenovo Flex 3 14 and Lenovo Flex 3 15. These systems are available with up to an Intel Core i5 processor and up to a 1920 x 1080 pixel display. But they’re less portable than the Flex 3 11 and cost several hundred dollars more.

  1. Assume this is IPS and the HD is upgradeable? If so, nice competitors to HP Pavilion x360 line.
