E Fun’s Nextbook line of tablets have never exactly been expensive… but they seem to be getting cheaper all the time. About a month ago the company launched an 8.9 inch 2-in-1 tablet with Windows 10 software for just $139.

Now E Fun has dropped the price of that model to $100. If you’re willing to pay (a little) more money, there are also new 10 inch and 11.6 inch models for $150, and $227, respectively.

These tablets might exactly be the best money can buy… but they’re cheap enough that you probably shouldn’t be disappointed even if they don’t offer stellar performance or design.

All three tablets feature Intel Atom Z3735F Bay Trail processors, IPS displays, 2MP rear cameras, a microSD card slot, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0. And each model comes with a detachable keyboard dock.

The entry-level model with an 8.9 inch display has a 1280 x 800 pixel screen, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 0.3MP front camera.

The Nextbook Flexx 10 has a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 2MP front camera. This model has a 7,000 mAh battery.

E Fun’s 11.6 inch Nextbook Flexx 11 has a 1366 x 768 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 2MP front camera, and a 9,000 mAh battery.

  1. Great for light work, but main downside is resolution and lack of USB port on the top portion (There is an OTG capable micro USB, but it sucks to bring an adapter around)

  2. I just picked one of these up, and I am very impressed with the quality and what it can do for $100.
I got the 8.9 version. The screen is very sharp with good viewing angles, although the brightness range is lacking. I put over a thousand comics on an SD card, and I use an app called Cover to browse and read them. It is a good size for reading and quite quick for only 1gb of ram.
The keyboard dock is nice and stiff and hold on with strong magnets. The keys have plenty of travel and a good click. They are not full size but if better than my old eeepc. The trackpad is very responsive and feels good, although due to some odd driver issues I can’t find way to turn off the stupid trackpad gestures.
Speaking of drivers if you choose to do a fresh install of windows all the drivers can be pulled from Windows Updates, however I have found that there is very little bloatwear on the tablet aside from CandyCrush and the rest of the crap that comes with windows (even the enterprise version WTF Microsoft?) I have tested the HDMI port up to 1080p and it can drive that no problem. As far as I can tell you can not charge the device from the micro USB port. It is for OTG only. That means you have to use the charger it comes with instead of any handy USB charger. The USB on the dock is 2.0 but it looks like the pogo pins to connect the dock might be USB 3.0 so a custom dock might be made. While the keyboard can be put in backwards to let you fold the screen on top or put it in tent mode or whatever the keyboard, trackpad, and usb2.0 port only work when the tablet is docked facing the keyboard. I tried doing some Steam streaming to it, but it was too laggy to use. Al in all it is a nice device for comics, some light browsing, and as a mobile ssh client. I am quite happy about what my $100 got me.

  3. Still way more useful than any Android or Apple tablet, at very competitive prices…there is really nothing wrong with these new Atoms when all 4 cores are present.

  4. Used to see these just at walmart.com, but now Target.com is selling the 10 inch, too.
