Japan’s Kouziro Frontier is offering a new, rather bland looking netbook in Japan, with a rather bland name: FRNU302/BK. OK, I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that’s just a model number, and that there’s a sexier name for this netbook in Japanese. But that doesn’t change the bland specs:
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU
- 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display
- 1GB RAM
- 120GB or 160GB hard drive
- Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional, or Windows Vista Home Premium
The netbook is priced at 400€ or about $515 US.

Having read the product page, FRNU seems to be the “friendly” name for this netbook. Not the catchiest product name I’ve ever heard, but I suppose it is fitting for something based around the even less catchy ECS J10IL.

Stefan : thanks 😉
perhaps not a expert, just an other guy who likes netbooks 😉
JeffBlagnac is our Clone Expert here in Europe =)
Yes Stefan, I totally agree with you 😉
FYI, since this post which discribe how I discoverd the J10IL and all clones, I wrote another post on the J10IL specifications and I compare it with the ECS’s first netbook, the G10IL.
