jw-minix-811I spoke with Sascha from Netbook News the other day, and he told me that even though the Computex trade show wrapped up on Friday, he’s still got more than a dozen videos to process and post on the web site. One of the latest shows a nice looking netbook from J&W called the Minix 811. This 10.2 inch netbook has a 1024 x 600 pixel matte display and an aluminum finish.

J&W is a Hong Kong based manufacturer. It’s not clear whether we’ll ever see this netbook in the US, but if we do, I’m guessing it’ll be rebranded and distributed by a different computer maker. Sascha says the netbook is thin and light, and although he didn’t have the dimensions or weight handy, I have no reason to doubt him. The netbook also has a SIM card slot, which indicates that it’s available with a 3G modem. It comes with either a 3 cell or 6 cell battery, which should provide 2.5 to 5 hours of run time. And it will ship with either Windows or Linux. The display model was running Windows 7.

One other nifty feature on this laptop is a button on the side that lets you turn off all of your wireless features at once. The only problem I can see with this button is that it looks almost exactly like the power button on the other side of the netbook, so you might accidentally turn off the PC when you simply wanted to cut the wireless.

You can check out Sascha’s video after the break.
