The Jetway Zero Mini is a 10 inch netbook with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB hard drive. Nothing surprising there. But here are two things that make this netbook stand out:
- It has a 3D sound mode that you can activate by hitting a button below the keyboard
- The SIM card slot is located on the side of the unit, right above the 4-in-1 card reader
While the Zero Mini isn’t the first netbook to come with a UMTS modem, it is the first I’ve seen that treats the SIM card slot just like any other card reader. Typically you have to either remove the battery or pry up the computer lid to change the SIM card. With the Zero Mini you can just pop it in and out.
Sascha recorded a hands-on video for Netbook News, and he reports that the netbook will come with either a 3 or 6 cell battery. He also points out a nice big access panel on the base of the unit that should make upgrading the RAM or hard drive a breeze.
You can check out the video after the break.
