iTunes U is Apple’s higher-education podcast and content delivery system that allows universities to publish lectures, notes and other digital materials for online access. Much of the content from the hundreds of participating institutions is available to the public, though a great deal is restricted to currently enrolled college students.
An update to iOS app now allows students to take notes right in the app while listening to or watching lectures. This is good news for those who want to deal with just one device while studying.
A new search feature also makes it easy to find terms across all course materials, assignments, and student-created notes.
iTunes U version 1.2 is available in the App store now.
