The first wearable activity tracker from iFit Active is coming soon. The company unveiled the iFit Active wearable band at CES in January, and the device passed through the FCC this week. It’s expected to go on sale this spring for $129.
The company’s existing products include treadmills and exercise bikes that use let you virtually run or cycle through courses around the world using Google Maps. The company also offers fitness-tracking apps for Android and iOS.
But iFit’s wearable band lets you access the company’s ecosystem without buying an expensive treadmill.
The device seems to have all the basic features you’d get with similar hardware from Fitbit, Withings, Jawbone, or others. The band can track sleep activity, distance traveled, steps taken, and estimated calories burned and sync your data with your phone.
You can wear the iFit Active band as a watch, or you can pop it out of the wristband and put the tracker into a clip that you can attach to a belt or pocket.
