There’ve been rumors floating around for months that smartphone maker HTC will soon bring a tablet to market. Now DigiTimes thinks it knows when. The site claims that HTC is developing three tablets which will launch in the first half of 2011. The first is apparently due out in the US in March.

That first tablet is reportedly called the HTC Flyer. According to DigiTimes it will run Google Android 2.3 and launch with an option to upgrade to Android 3.0 Honeycomb eventually. The Flyer will be available from a mobile phone carrier in the US. In fact, the device will reportedly look like a large version of the HTC Desire smartphone.

According to DigiTimes’ sources, HTC will launch two other tablets in June after Honeycomb is available. HTC has yet to confirm that it’s working on a tablet… let alone three.
