HTC is expanding its 2015 line of flagship phones, and this time the company’s emphasizing its new phone’s camera.

Earlier this year the company launched the HTC One M9. Then it was followed by the HTC One M9+ which offers a high-resolution display and a MediaTek processor rather than one from Qualcomm.

Now meet the HTC One M9+ Supreme Camera. Seriously. That’s what it’s called.

The new phone has the same basic specs as the M9+, which means it features a 5.2 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel display, a MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSDXC card slot, 802.11ac WiFI, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, stereo front-facing speakers, a fingerprint sensor below the screen, and a 2840 mAh battery.

But the new model replaces the 20MP dual-lens rear camera with a new 21MP sensor that features laser autofocus support and optical image stabilization.

While the HTC One M9+ is currently available in Asia and Europe, HTC has only announced the Taiwanese launch of the M9+ Supreme Camera so far. It’s scheduled to go on sale there starting October 6th for $630.

  1. $630 is a tad too much. I am rooting for HTC, but they do need to know that they don’t have the clout to charge close to top dollar for their flagships. $499 is the max they should be charging.
