The HP Slate 10 HD is a tablet with a Marvell PXA986 processor and a 1280 x 800 pixel screen that just barely justifies the HD name. It’s basically a 10 inch budget Android tablet with a few HP extras including Beats Audio.
It’s expected to launch in November, and this week it showed up at the FCC website, along with a second model which is either a variation of the same tablet or an entirely different 10 inch tablet.
The two tablets have similar model numbers (B94HHB17CM and B94HHB15C, respectively), but the label for one clearly says “HP Slate 10 HD, while the other simply says HP 10 1900.
Both tablets support cellular data on GSM and WCDMA networks and also feature 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
That’s about all the FCC tells us, but we already know that the HP Slate 10 HD will feature a microSD card slot, front and rear cameras, and will come in WiFi-only or 4G models. Customers who pick up a 4G-capable model will get 200MB of free data per month from T-Mobile — which isn’t as exciting as it used to be, since T-Mobile is now offering the same deal to anyone that buys any tablet from the wireless carrier.
If I had to guess, I’d say the HD is 1080p and the 1900 is a 1900p version of the same tablet.
Did you even read the article? The VERY FIRST LINE says the HD is 1280×800 (720p).
Nope! I sure didn’t.
