HP has rolled out a software update for the HP TouchPad tablet. WebOS 3.0.5 includes a handful of new features, but nothing truly spectacular:
- Support for HTTP live streaming
- Alert when video quality could be low due to network issues
- Improved web video stability
- Toggle that lets you enable or disable auto-correction
- Option to insert a period when you tap the space bar twice.
- Faster calendar view switching
- Faster email scrolling
- View which contacts are online on IM from the email app
- Attachments are saved when you save an email draft message
- Alert when video quality could be low due to network issues
TouchPad users can download the update by visiting the settings tab on the tablet and then checking for system updates.
Note that if you’re running Google Android on your TouchPad, installing webOS 3.0.5 will probably overwrite Moboot and make it difficult to boot back into Android.
To re-install Moboot, check out our guide for re-installing Moboot after updating to webOS 3.0.4.
You can then run copy just the Moboot file to your TouchPad, run the ACMEInstaller utility to install it, and next time you reboot you should see a menu that asks if you’d like to boot into webOS, CyanogenMod, or recovery.

Didn’t even have to re-install moboot 0.3.5!!

oops, I did the update without checking this post beforehand, now my touchpad wont start up at all, just get the HP sign, my computer won’t see it at all. HELP!!!!!!
Logon to your hp webdoctor account and follow the directions, it will fix almost any issue. If you have android installed you will need to reinstall Moboot as stated above, but it will not touch your android install.
