Acer and MSI aren’t the only companies showing off new mini-laptops with shiny new AMD chips this week. The folks at nDevil spotted an HP Pavilion DM1z on display at an AMD event in France this week. It looks like an updated version of the HP DM1 which was introduced last year.

The new model has a 1.7GHz AMD Athlon II Neo K125 single core processor and integrated ATI Radeon HD graphics.

The HP Pavilion DM1z has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel HD display and both HDMI and VGA output. It comes with a 6 cell, 55Whr battery and a keyboard that looks an awful lot like the one found on the HP Mini 311.

You can check out a hands-on video below and find a few more pictures at nDevil.

  1. HP still havent updated the keyboard. They should think about making it edge-to-edge to fit in a larger keyboard 🙁

  2. Hope this comes out in the States, not just Eurpoe like the other DM1 models.

  3. Nice screen size, specs look promising really I am so over these 10 inch netbooks with Atom “crapastic graphics” and 1024 x 600 resolution.
