I just had a visit from a friendly FedEx driver who was kind enough to drop off $6,000 in gear from HP and Microsoft. Unfortunately, I don’t get to keep it. Instead I’ll be reviewing the HP Mini 1000 netbook over the next few days and maybe some of the other items in the bundle and then next week I’ll be launching a contest where one lucky Liliputing reader can win the whole bundle of hardware and software, which includes:
- HP TouchSmart IQ816 PC with Windows
- HP HDX 18 series Premium Notebook PC with Windows
- HP MediaSmart Connect
- HP Pavilion dv4-1145go Entertainment Notebooks with Windows
- HP Mini 1000 series with Windows
- HP Photosmart C6380 Wireless AIO
- HP 564 Series Photo Value Pack
- Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007
- Corel VideoStudio X2
- Kung Fu Panda widescreen DVDs
Don’t forget, 50 blogs are participating in this promotion, which means you have 50 chances to win. And while my contest won’t begin until next week, a number of sites have already begun their promotions. Check out the HP Magic GiveAway site for more details.
I certainly want to win this one as my HP DV6000 notebook malfunctioned because of a defective batch of GPU…. I am drooling on the prizes……
So how do we win it from Liliputing?
All will be revealed on Wednesday.
The participating web sites are staggering the contests. Ours begins this
week.
Brad, that is entirely to much stuff to give to one person. Why don’t you break it up into two or three prizes or something. It would give more people a chance to win something, even if there are 49 other blogs giving stuff away.
The folks at HP, Microsoft, and Buzzcorp are promoting this as a single
prize package. But the winners are certainly encouraged to share the prize
with friends, family members, coworkers, community groups, etc.
There is a lot of boxes with my name on it
Aww, man! Thanks a lot for that photo. I just ruined my HP mininote’s keyboard with all this drool!
Brad –
When you fire up the Mini 1000 you need to answer my burning question about the how hot this little sucker gets! Laptop Magazine never addressed this in their review which was odd since the HP 2133 had serious heat build up issues (it was the reason I EBAYED mine off). Please post this info when you get a chance…gracias…

I look forward to the HP Mini 1000 reviewed on a blog that really understands netbooks =)
Wonderful. Nice to see that you are being sent units to review!
Do want!
