HP is updating its ProBook line of laptops with new models featuring 13.3 inch, 14 inch, and 15.6 inch displays. Since this is Liliputing, I’m most interested in the smallest of the bunch.

The HP ProBook 430 G3 is a 3.3 pound laptop with a 13.3 inch display and an Intel Skylake processor. It should be available this month, along with the 14 inch ProBook 440 G3 and 15.6 inch ProBook 450 and 455 G3 models.

The ProBook 430 G3 is available with Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 Skylake processor options, up to 16GB of RAM (with 2 SODIMMs), and features support for a 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD and an M.2 SATA SSD.

Other features include Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card slot, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, and a headset jack.

The laptop has a spill-resistant keyboard and is available with an optional backlit keyboard. The ProBook 440 G3 can be configured with a range of wireless cards, with top-of-the-line systems supports 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2.

The ProBook 430 G3 can be configured with an optional touchscreen display, but sadly it looks like there’s no option for a high-resolution display. The only configurations HP is offering are touchscreen or non-touch display panels with resolutions of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The notebook measures 12.8″ x 9.2″ x 0.8″ and HP offers 44 Whr and 55 Whr battery options. HP sells the laptop with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit software, but Windows 10 Home is also available… as are downgrade rights to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

HP’s larger ProBook 440 G3 and ProBook 450 G3 include similar specs, but the 14 inch model can be ordered with an optional 1600 x 900 pixel display, while the 15.6 inch model can be configured with 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 pixel screens.

The difference between the ProBook 450 and 455 G3 is that the 450 series features an Intel Skylake processor, while the 455 series is available with an AMD A4, A8, or A10 chip.

  1. Wow, very bad resolutions.. But I like the touchpads, I would love to see them on the Spectre line.. Any way, waiting for a new spectre x360!

      1. Can you rest your palm on the laptop (while writing for example) without interfering with the touchpad?

  2. Looking forward to seeing these available in the channel. I wonder if they will still sell models with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed? If not, this might be a good thing to get people off of 7. These are very popular notebooks in the public and private sector.
