The Nexus Q is a media streaming set-top device (sphere?) that allows Android smartphone and tablet owners to play and control music, movies and TV shows from the Google Play store and videos from YouTube on HDTVs. If that seems frustratingly limited, it is. But since the Q runs Android and is hackable, the limitations may not last long.
A poster at XDA Developers has found a way to get Hulu working on the Nexus Q using a hack originally created for the Transformer Prime. You’ll need to know how to load apps on the device and might want to install this app launcher previously featured.
Or, you can wait and see if a fuller build of CyanogenMod for the Q gets going.
Whichever method you use, expanding the possibilities of the Nexus Q brings it closer to being worth the $299 asking price.
