Apparently it’s Apple day here at Liliputing. First we offer a little speculation on whether Apple will launch a netbook. Then we show you how to install OS X on a Dell Inspiron Mini 9. And now we have photos of a 100% fake MacBook Mini.
A member of the German MSI Wind forums whipped up a little magic with a dremel and 6 white LCD lights. You can see a few more pictures of his handiwork, including the tape and aluminum foil that holds the whole thing together at the forums. (translated version)
In related news, Wired’s Gadget Lab reports that another hacker has released an updated set of graphics drivers for MSI Wind users with hackintoshes (netbooks running unofficial versions of OS X).There’s also good news on the audio and WiFi driver fronts. Check out the Gadget Lab article for more info.
Oh, and finally, the hacker who drilled into his Wind case to add the shining Apple logo also put together a little mock commercial for his project. You can find it after the break.
