The HiPhone iLaptop isn’t exactly the most powerful 12 inch mini-laptop around. Like virtually every netbook released over the last year or so, it has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. But that larger screen supports a 1280 x 800 pixel display resolution, which is nice. What’s even nicer is just how thin this laptop is. It measure just 22mm or about 0.87 inches thick.
It’s also fairly light, at 1.4kg or about 3.1 pounds. It has a decent looking keyboard and a nice, wide touchpad, which you can see in more detail in some awful photographs at China Grabber.
The information posted at China Grabber does not say, but. . .
Going by the limited operating temperature, I think this
machine is a “fan-less” design.
The operating temperature range translates to: “indoor use only”.
Reads as if it would fry if used outdoors, in the southern states.
You have to hand it to these cagey folks who make fake iPhone and such. I mean not even Microsoft, Creative, iRiver makes such good copies of Apple products. 😉
A 12″ computer that weights about 3 lbs is nothing to sneeze at with distaste.
