Gigabyte has introduced one of the lightest ultrabooks to date. The Gigabyte X11 features an 11.6 inch display and a carbon fiber case. It weighs 975 grams, or just over 2.1 pounds.
The X11 will hit the streets in July with prices ranging from $999 to $1299.
Gigabyte says the notebook measures just 0.12 inches at its thinnest point — but that kind of statistic is kind of meaningless, since the parts of the ultrabook that contain the processor, storage, and other components are about 0.65 inches thick.
The notebook features a 3rd generation Intel Core processor, also known as Ivy Bridge. It has a 128GB solid state disk and 4GB of RAM.
There’s 1 USB 3.0 port and 1 USB 2.0 port, a headset jack, microSD card slot, Ethernet, and a mini display jack. The computer supports 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0
The X11 has a 1366 x 768 pixel display and 1.3MP webcam. The laptop measures 11.7″ x 7.6″x 0.65″ and features a 35Whr batter.
