Gigabyte’s new portable gaming notebooks aren’t the only new ultrabooks coming from the Taiwanese company.

Gigabyte is also updating its ultraportable notebook lineup with a few new models featuring Haswell chips and optional touchscreen displays.

Earlier this year Gigabyte launched a U2442DT ultrabook with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor and NVIDIA graphics. Now the company is updating its 14 inch ultrabook lineup with new models featuring Intel’s new Haswell processors.

The Gigabyte U24F measures about 0.83 inches thick, weighs about 3.7 pounds, and features NVIDIA GT 750M graphics, in addition to Intel HD integrated graphics.

It has room for an mSATA solid state disk up to 256GB and a hard drive up to 1TB, for a total of more than 1.2TB of disk space.

Gigabyte’s U24T model features the same basic design, but also features a touchscreen display.

Both notebooks feature Ethernet, HDMI, and USB ports.

The Gigabyte U24F should be available in late July or early August for $999 and up, while the U24T should be available around the same time for $1099 and up.

Gigabyte U35F

If you’re looking for a bigger screen and more storage, the Gigabyte U35F supports up to 3TB of storage split between two 512MB mSATA SSDs and two 1TB HDDs. Configurations with less storage will probably be available as well.

This model has a 15.6 inch, 1080p display, and it’s not technically an ultrabook, but Gigabyte calls it an “ultra-thin.”

The notebook features a 4th-generation Intel Core processor and discrete NVIDIA GT 750M graphics.

There’s a swappable drive slot which you can use for a DVD drive or a hard drive.

Gigabyte says the U35F should launch in late July or early August for $1099 and up.

  1. That U35 might just get my money, depending on the price for one with an i7 core, 1TB hard drive, at least 8GB of RAM, and good battery life. I’m currently eyeing the Lenovo Y510p, so if it can keep the y510p’s specs but stil be lighter…
