The Gigabyte Q1105 is an ultraportable notebook with an 11.6 inch display, a slim case design, and an Intel Core 2 duo SU4100 low voltage processor. The folks at Netbook News recently got their hands on one and have posted a detailed review.

Here’s the short version: the keyboard is large and easy to type on, but the tiny touchpad is cramped, unresponsive, and awkwardly laid out. The notebook offers decent overall performance and runs for about 4.5 hours on a charge.

The laptop sells for between $450 and $650 in Australia and Taiwan. It doesn’t appear to be available in the US at the moment.
