The Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 is a tablet computer designed to run Windows 7 or Windows 8. It’s scheduled to launch this fall for $1099, and I’d heard Fujitsu would also offer an optional keyboard dock which lets you use the tablet like a laptop computer.

This week the Stylistic Q702 showed up at the FCC website, where it’s actually described as a notebook PC, with pictures showing a traditional convertible tablet-style notebook.

In other words, the Q702 looks like a notebook where the display is attached to the base by a swivel, letting you rotate the screen 180 degrees and then fold it back down over the keyboard for use in tablet mode.

According to the FCC documents, the notebook will features an 11.7 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display and a 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 processor. The same document also says there’s no graphics chip, or WiFi chip, while others suggest the PC will feature 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, so I’d take a lot of these details with a grain of salt.

All we really know is that Fujitsu is seeking regulatory approvals for a new computer called the Fujitsu Stylistic Q702.

If it’s anything like the model we heard about in July, it could sell for around $1100 when it hits the streets.
