The Fujitsu LifeBook PH520 is a thin and light 11.6 inch notebook with an AMD processor. And like most Fujitsu notebooks, it’s a bit pricier than the competition.

The Fujitsu PH520 was first introduced a few weeks ago, and now it’s available for purchase in the US for $599. That’s about $170 more than Amazon is charging for the Acer Aspire One AO721, which has a similar display, processor, memory, and storage.

Still, if you’re a sucker for Fujitsu branding, here’s what you get for the money:

  1. The price premium, aside from the normal Fujitsu markup, appears to be due to the larger 6-cell batter (5800mAh vs. 4400mAh). That’s almost 30% more battery capacity for the Fujitsu over similar offerings from Acer, who saddles all their AMD products with low capacity batteries.

  2. I think there is a typo here as the post reads that this Fujitsu laptop is from Toshiba – or am I confused?

  3. I like how they call it a Lifebook, haven’t had much experience with Fujitsu laptops but i guess the competition keeps the likes of Dell and Toshiba on their toes which is a good thing for the consumer market
