Budget tablet maker E Fun is getting into the budget notebook space. During the second quarter of 2016 the company plans to launch its first two laptops.
The Nextbook 14 is a $200 laptop with a 14 inch display, while the Nextbook 11.6 is a convertible notebook with 360 degree hinge, a touchscreen display, and a $270 price tag.
Both laptops are powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processors and both feature 2GB of RAM and 1366 x 768 pixel IPS displays. Each has USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, WiFI, and Bluetooth, and micro HDMI ports.
The 14 inch model has 32GB of storage, while the 11.6 inch convertible has a touchscreen and 64GB of storage, which helps explain its higher price tag.
E Fun also recently launched a new line of 2-in-1 tablets with Intel Cherry Trail processors detachable keyboards. Prices start at $150 for a model with an 8.9 inch display and Windows software. There are also 10.1 inch and 11.6 inch models, as well as an 11.6 inch Android mdoel with a backlit keyboard.
