Duracell may be a big name in batteries and all, but it’s not typically the first company that jumps to mind when I think about laptop power adapters. But the company is making a play for the netbook space, with the introduction of a 40-Watt Universal Netbook AC Adapter.
Most netbooks ship with their own power adapters, but the Duracell adapter can serve as a second power supply if you need one for home and another for work, or if you just need to replace a bad power supply.
The adapter is designed to support netbook models from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. It comes with a number of tips which can switch between 12V and 19V depending on which tip and netbook you’re using.
The power supply weighs 9 ounces. It has a suggested retail price of $49.99, but Amaozn is taking pre-orders for about 5 bucks less.

IMO; it is a good idea since it is close to being an universal charger; using one for many instead of each having their own; especially if the one being used no longer works and hard to find.
