Dell is updating its line of convertible laptops with new Dell Inspiron systems featuring 360 degree hinges and touchscreen displays. Fold the screen back all the way and the laptop becomes a tablet… or in some cases, more of a table.

For the first Dell is offering a model with a 17 inch display in addition to its 11.6 inch, 13.3 inch, and 15 inch models.

13-17 inch convertibles

The Dell Inspiron 13, 15, and 17 7000 Series convertibles should be available starting June 2nd for $749 and up, and these models feature some premium hardware, including:

  • Intel Skylake processor
  • Full HD display with wide viewing angles
  • Backlit keyboard
  • Infrared camera (for use with Windows Hello secure login)
  • USB Type-C and USB 3.0 ports
  • Precision touchpad
  • Aluminum chassis

Dell says the new 7000 Series systems include solid state storage and Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio software.

The company also new Inspiron 13 5000 Series and Inspiron 15 5000 Series convertibles launching June 2nd for $529 and up.

These models also feature Intel Skylake chips, precision touchpads, and some of the other premium features, including optional full HD isplays and optional Infrared cameras on some models — but you’ll notice the word “optional” keeps coming up for features that come standard on the 7000 Series laptops.

11.6 inch convertible

The company is also updating the lower-cost, lower-power Inspiron 11 3000 Series convertible, which was first introduced at CES earlier this year.

The original was a clamshell-style laptop, while the new version features a touchscreen display and 360-degree hinge.

New models will also be available with up to an Intel Core M3 processor and prices are expected to start at $249 when the convertible laptop goes up for sale on June 2nd.

The Inspiron 11 3000 Series features an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, USB 3.0 and microSD card ports, and HDMI output.

Update: We’ve got more information about the Inspiron 11 3000 Series. For instance, it will be available with up to 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of SSD storage, or up to 500GB of hard drive storage.
