Wireless carrier O2 is now offering the Dell Streak 5 inch Android tablet in the UK. So while we’ve seen this little guy all over the place in the last few months, today we’re finally starting to see some proper unboxing photos and videos.

SlashGear has posted a nice photo set and video that not only shows you what comes in the box, but also how the Dell Streak stacks up against a Google Nexus One smartphone. Not surprisingly, the Streak with its 4.8 inch display looks noticeably larger than the 3.7 inch Nexus One — but not so much larger that I couldn’t imagine holding it to my head to make a phone call from time to time.

My Dell Mini has an unboxing video as well. The retail packaging looks decent, and Dell includes a fair amount of recycled material in the packaging. The device also comes with a USB sync cable, power adapter, and a slip-case, which is always a nice addition.

You can check out the videos after the break.

  1. I love the Streak! Absolutely Stunning! I wish Dell’s sale would cover it!

    Offer ends 6/30.

  2. I’m all over this. A small tablet that you can browse, read and occasionally type on and you don’t need a man-purse to carry it around. Combine with a BT headset that does voice dialling so it stays in my pocket, and I can do away with my regular phone, which I think otherwise you’d need. Besides, if this said Apple on it, it would be the second coming. There’s no doubt about that!

  3. Aye you can download an alternative keyboard. I’m a previous Blackberry user so am used to qwerty but not touch screen but I’ve quickly adapted to the keyboard much like most touchscreen qwerty users said I would. Got my streak on Friday and it is brilliant! Browsing on it is out of this world, I thought it would be too big but it really isn’t it is spot on! Only small issue I have with it so far is the home screen orientation is forced to be landscape, but I along with I’m sure many others will hassle Dell until they send out a fix for this. 4. The only thing I do’nt like about these is the keyboard. But you can download an alternative keyboard from the android market right?
