The upcoming Dell Latitude 9330 laptop features a 13.3 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel touchscreen display, a 360-degree hinge, support for up to 32GB of LPDDR5-5200 memory, and up to a 12th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel vPro features.

It’s also a laptop that’s very much built with video conferencing in mind. Not only does it have a full HD webcam, an array of 4 microphones, and top-firing speakers, but the Latitude 9330 also features what Dell calls a “collaboration touchpad.” Basically that means video conferencing buttons are built into the top of the touchpad.

While plenty of business laptops feature dedicated keys for video conferencing in the keyboard, Dell has built mic, camera, screen share, and chat control icons into the touchpad. You can also use the F9 key as a camera mute button though, Dell says the webcam has a SafeShutter that will open or close automatically depending on whether you’re on a video call or not.

The Latitude 9330 measures 11.6′ x 8.2″ x 0.6″ and has a starting weight of 2.8 pounds. The notebook has a 50 Wh battery and comes with either a 65-watt or 90-watt USB Type-C power supply.

Security features include optional support for a fingerprint reader and/or an IR camera for face recognition, and the notebook is available in WiFi-only or WiFi + cellular configurations with support for either a Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 LTE modem or an Intel 5000 Global 5G modem.

Ports include two Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Type-C, and a headset jack.

The Dell Latitude 9330 should be available in June, 2022 and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

  1. They really should have just put a hardware kill switch for the camera on there. I really don’t trust the SafeShutterâ„¢, and you’d think it ought to be cheaper to have a switch that just cuts the power to the camera.
BUT NO! WE CAN’T HAVE ANY MORE BUTTONS! OR USB PORTS! WE HAVE TO COPY APPLE! APPLE MAKES THE COMPUTERS THAT PEOPLE WANT AND PEOPLE COULDN’T POSSIBLY WANT COMPUTERS THAT DO NOT LOOK LIKE APPLES! THERE IS NO WAY THAT SOMEONE WOULD EVER BUY A THINKPAD T420 LOOKALIKE WITH A MODERN CPU IN IT!
Well in that case they already failed because of the buttons on the touchpad. All of which are unnecessary.
