Dell is taking pre-orders for its new business-friendly Latitude 10 Windows 8 tablet. Prices start at $649, and the tablet is expected to ship in mid-November.

Dell Latitude 10

The Dell Latitude 10 features an Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor, a 10.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel IPS display, 2GB of RAM, and Windows 8 software.

Dell is currently offering three models. Each comes with a 64GB solid state disk, an 8MP rear camera, 720p front-facing camera, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a swappable 30 Whr battery.

But that’s all you get with the $649 model. Add $100 more and you get the optional docking station which adds Ethernet, HDMI, and 4 USB 2.0 ports. Bump up the price to $849 and you also get an integrated HSPA+ modem.

Unlike some Windows 8 tablets on the market, the Latitude 10 also supports digital pen input thanks to an active digitizer. Enterprise-friendly features include a fingerprint scanner, TPM module, and a full-sized USB port.

Dell says the tablet gets up to 18 hours of battery life with the optional “productivity dock.”
