I’ve seen blinged out netbooks from Japan before. But generally, I wouldn’t touch them with a 17.5 meter pole. But acclaimed Japanese gadget artist (he paints on gadgets) UFO Hayashi’s decorated Acer Aspire One is actually kind of attractive. It’s also kind of (OK, really) expensive. He’s put this little work of art up on eBay with a starting bid of $3,000. For some reason there still aren’t any bids yet.

  1. Why would you put so much effort into decorating an Acer?…known for low quality.

I would rather see this on an ASUS 1000HE.

  2. The other “blinged out” NetBooks are, well … Just “blinged out” Netbooks.
That looks like a serious bit of original art (so what if its isn’t on canvas or rice paper) – –
Hope the artist gets his price – to a collector of his work – probably worth it.
