I needed to replace my x61 in January and did not want to spend a lot.  I picked up the 1830 core i3, put in a 128 SSD and bumped the ram to 8.  It is awesome.  Boots in 17 seconds and wakes from sleep in about 2 (takes longer to enter my password).  The best news of all?  Batteries and extra power adapters are CHEAP. 

  2. View Sonic ViewBook VB730 7-Inch Android 2.2 Wi-Fi/BT Tablet for $70?  I don’t think so.
