Amazon is expected to launch its 3rd-generation Kindle Fire tablets soon, with 7 and 8.9 inch models packing faster processors, higher-resolution displays, and other improvements.
But that doesn’t mean that the 2012 tablet lineup is chopped liver. The Kindle Fire HD tablets are still pretty good devices with starting prices of under $200 — and today Amazon is running a bit of a (Kindle) Fire Sale on refurbished models. You can pick up a 7 inch tablet for as little as $119 if you act fast, and 8.9 inch models are going for $179 and up all day.
It’s worth noting that Amazon offers a 1-year warranty on certified refurbished Kindle tablets.
