  1. I find it strange how certain sites will consistently have higher customer ratings for devices than Amazon.com. Take the the Archos 28 for example. It has an average of 5 start at Tigerdirect but 3 stars at Amazon. Of course at Amazon it is based on more reviewers, but one wonders if the people buying from Tigerdirect have different expectations than those buying from Amazon.

    1. Tigerdirect does focus more on consumer electronics than Amazon, which is more a one stop shopping provider. Tigerdirect also does more self promoting of their products with computertv on youtube.

Amazon also sells products from other reseller partners.  So cost and quality isn’t always consistent on Amazon.  So more variables for things that can wrong with the purchase and cause a negative review.
