Lenovo’s Miix 2 11 is a Windows tablet with an 11.6 inch full HD display and a detachable keyboard dock that lets you use the computer like a notebook (assuming you don’t need to adjust the angle of the display, because the Miix 2 11 dock doesn’t have an adjustable hinge).
There’s no shortage of 2-in-1 tablets these days, but the Miix 2 11 strikes a good balance between price and performance… at least when you can find it on sale. Lenovo charges $680 for a model with an Intel core i5 Haswell processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of solid state storage. But right now Newegg is offering the same model for $490.

Is that a matte display on that Miix device? And why do I constantly need to ask about the two biggest questions regarding portable devices here on Lilliputing… 1. Is there a matte display? & 2. Is there an SD slot?
This $155 Aspire E11 is definitely the model to look for. The models with an HDD are great because the drive can be swapped for a 2.5″ SSD, and the RAM can be upgraded to 8gb (one slot only).
The models with eMMC storage have the physical space for a 2.5″ drive, but they don’t have a SATA connector to connect the drive.
