The Amazon Fire HD 7 is already a pretty affordable tablet with a normal price of $139 and up. But today only Amazon is selling its latest 7 inch tablet for $79 and up.

Want something with a higher-resolution display and a more powerful processor? Radio Shack is offering the Kindle Fire HDX for $105, which is just over half that tablet’s normal sales price… although the deal’s only good in stores and you’ll have to find a Radio Shack location that has the tablet in stock.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.

  1. Just a heads up, that Silicon Power SSD looks like a good value, just be very careful at looking at any Benchmarks.

Recently Silicon Power pulled a really shady move, and changed the internals of their SSD for lower cost parts, and their performance isnt the same as when the S60 product launched.

Theyre not terrible as a result of the changes, its just a real dick-move on Silicon Power’s part. Kingston did the same thing to the V300 recently, and people are boycotting them like crazy on Reddit

    1. General Wireless bought the rights to the name and the rights to ~1700 locations. They’re closing some and converting some to Sprint stores or Sprint/Radio Shack hybrids. This is happening slowly. Also there are (were?) ~900 independent Radio Shacks franchisees. I have no idea what happens to them, but they didn’t all disappear overnight.

I suspect that this will be something like the demise of Blockbuster, where the last Radio Shack location will close several years after 99.99% of the population thought that the company was gone forever.

  2. “has the table tin stock”

That’s an odd typo that easily passed the spell check.
